Who we are
Sitka Technology Group designs, builds and manages award-winning custom software for sustainability-focused businesses, governmental agencies and not-for-profit organizations.
We recognize there are barriers to wider adoption of sustainable practices and we are committed to creating great software that removes those barriers. Sitka Technology Group was founded on the belief that collaboration is the key to crafting effective software and that helping clients reach their sustainability goals and objectives will make our communities prosper.
Each of the three managing partners (Brian, Keith, and Matt) brings over 15 years of software development experience to every project we work on. Over the years, we’ve learned a whole lot about what can be accomplished with software technology. We’ve also noticed some things we excel at:
Innovative product management
we enjoy turning vision and insight into industry leading software products through focused, cooperative business analysis and disciplined usability engineering
Technology innovations focused on business value
we have a knack for applying new technologies and effective practices to develop business-centered products
Effective technical team leadership
geeky enough ourselves, we inspire and guide development teams in the completion of multifaceted, high quality software
Hands-on system design
we are adept cross-platform software engineers with proven system design skills that yield high-throughput and high-availability architectures
Agile development methodologies
after many years of doing it other ways, we have found agile development methodologies, adapted to the specifics of the client engagement, to be the most cost-effective, reliable, and enjoyable way to deliver great software
Code craftsmanship
we obsess about writing tight, defect-free software, yet vigilantly look for opportunities to improve the health and reliability of the existing code base
