Liz comes to Sitka with over six years experience programming numerical models and algorithms, collecting and analyzing geospatial data, and using analytical techniques to study Earth science. In 2016, she defended her PhD at Yale University’s Department of Geology and Geophysics and submitted her thesis on Integrated Analysis of Geologic Data and Landscape Evolution.
Originally from the California Bay Area, Liz moved to Portland with her husband for the great quality of life. They are enjoying being closer to her family and trying new bars and restaurants around Portland. Like many at Sitka, Liz enjoys biking to work and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
